Round sardinella (SARDINELLA AURITA)

Round sardinella is a common but beautiful fish.

Its appearance is almost identical to that of the sardine, only two to three times bigger, and can found swimming in the same flocks. The round sardinella has more bones than the sardine and a thin yellow stripe running through its body. Like sardines, it feeds on planktonic microorganisms, filtering the water as it swims.

It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and polyunsaturated fats.
