Βlue fin tuna (THUNNUS THYNNUS)

The Blue fin tuna is the largest tuna species and one of the largest fish with bony skeletons.

It is a fast and powerful fish with a weight of up to 450 kilos. A special characteristic of the Atlantic blue fin tuna is that its muscles produce enough heat in order for its body temperature to be higher than the temperature of the environment.
